It’s the last NaPodPoMo for 2008, and I’m pretty pumped about that. Now I can get into making longer, more elaborate shows, and not having to rush around getting a show recorded and on the feed right away in order to hit the deadline.
Sadly, I’ve gained about six pounds from just messing around and not being careful, and am now going to use the Mary McDougall mini-diet to eradicate some of the baggage and get back on track. Being a no-added-fat vegan is not so easy, especially when you can’t expect people to accommodate your eating plan (It would be nice if they did, but I don’t expect it.).
Once again, if you know of any musicians who would like me to play some of their pieces or if you have some expertise in the areas of liberal politics, atheism, skepticism, freethought, veganism, or anything else along those lines, I would like to have you on the show.

Hi. Listening to your last NaPodPoMo show right now. Getting all teary-eyed and whatnot.
Practically my whole family is diabetic (except me, so far), so I Feel Your Pain. I really gotta try that diet thing sometime. But me, give up ice cream? Or coffee? As if!

By the way, I might refer you to Ronald Edmunds at the Ernest Thompson-Seton Institute (http://www.etsetoninstitute.org/welcome/). He just emailed me that they wanted to put a player on their site to play my recordings of the two Seton books I’ve read on one of my shows. And they seem to be involved in environmental activisim, which I noted was one of the topics you wanted to interview folks about.
Here’s his email address: redmonds@principiumgroup.com. You can tell him I suggested you contact them, if you’d like.

Aw, don’t be sad!
Congratulations on making 30 shows, Laura!
I think I can understand at least some of what you mean. I am lactose intolerant, so, it means that I eat very very little of anything with milk in it, because I get incredibly sick otherwise. Definately feel better the less dairy I have, but, I do try to have a little, for the calcium.
I stopped eating chicken years ago, and found that my allergies were actually somewhat better after that. Don’t know how to explain that, except to say that it seemed like the “thing” in the back of my throat that never cleared up suddenly did when I stopped eating chicken. Some people claim the hormones in the chicken are bad for people with allergies. I don’t know if that’s true or not.. all I know is I feel better when I don’t eat chicken. I just stopped eating pigs, and am interested to see where that goes.
Congrats on doing 30 shows in 30 days! It’s been a hard month for many of us, and you persevered anyway. Good job!
Congrats to you too, Jen and Shawno!
You guys are doing such an amazing job. Everyone go now and listen to the Hyper Nonsense network of podcasts. How many blogs and podcasts are you all up to, 20?
