I rant about runoffs and politicians because Saxby Chambliss beat Jim Martin in the runoffs for the U.S. Senate for Georgia. Politicians are schmucks.
I play my friend Graham Holland’s amazing song “Never Trust A Panda” from his album It’s a Frog’s Life. Graham has a Very Important music podcast also called It’s A Frog’s Life in which he plays acoustic music from Liverpool and the rest of the UK–I strongly order you to check it out. Graham has been pressuring me all along to re-start podcasting after my long hiatus and really, he is one of the main reasons I started up again.
I also found a band on Podsafe Music Network that I kind of liked. They are called Brendon Boogie Band and the song is “Monica Monica” from their album Disposable Pop. I believe they are on iTunes and they also have a podcast called Boogiecast.

I hope Obama doesn’t turn into a douche. But, he probably will. What kinda name is Saxby, anyway? I’m feeling hungry, Laura. That is all.

Georgia politicians seem to have dumb first names: Wyche, Newt, Sonny, Zell, Joe Frank, Lester, Mack, from off the top of my head. I don’t know what causes people with odd names to seek political office–maybe they got made fun of so much as children they developed a thick skin and were better able to get through the rough-and-tumble of the political process. Maybe I should do a podcast about that.
