The last time I looked at blog aggregator (I use and really like NewsGator, just so ya know), I had subscribed to over 500 blogs. I have about 150 podcast subscriptions feeding into iTunes on various computers and don’t even have a working iPod to easily listen to them anymore, so they are just there taking up valuable real estate on my hard drives. One time in the 1980s, Dwight and I moved 50 ten ream paper boxes full of books. I have no idea how many we now have but the house is covered with them. We have far too many DVDs for people who also have a Netflix account. We have a ton of old records and many CDs of music. We also have a huge number of MP3s and music downloaded from iTunes. We have just about every letter we ever received and at least a hundred old journals and sketchbooks. We have a lot of cassette tapes and video tapes we recorded and need to switch over. I don’t know how many blogs Dwight has, maybe seven or more. I have this one and my LiveJournal, which I’ve had for years. We also have several social network accounts between the two of us, though I am more active there. I have three podcasts. We also have very active local library cards and a high speed DSL line.
You might say we are information junkies. All I know is I feel better having all this information at my fingertips.
