Please excuse the sound quality of today’s show. I had already recorded a show for today and when I played it back, it sounded like poo, very static-y and echo-y (a sound sample can be found here if you are interested!). So I had to go searching around until I found my Zoom H2, which is a portable recording device and I’ve used it before. However, I like the sound quality and control of good mics and a mixer board, so I am very distressed by this turn of events, especially since I can’t afford a new mixer or even know where I can get this one fixed–it’s a Xenyx1202fx (Behringer). I know, I know. I should have bought a Mackie.
Today I played a cover of the old Wings tune “Maybe I’m Amazed” by Blake Morgan from MusicAlley by Mevio. He has his own record company called Engine Company Records, and as far as I can tell, that seems to be the best way to reach him.
